Alex Teixeira de Oliveira, known as Alex Telles (born October 16, 1992) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Galatasaray as a right-back. He began his career with Grêmio, playing 245 matches and scoring 38 goals between 2010 and 2017 before joining Manchester City in August 2017. He spent the 2017–18 season on loan at Olympique Lyonnais before rejoining Grêmio in July 2018. He joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019 and joined Galatasaray in August 2023. He has been a member of the Brazil national team since 2013. At club level, he won the Copa Libertadores in 2017, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 2018,Serie A Stadium the Ligue 1 in 2020, the Coupe de France in 2020 and 2021, and the Turkish Super Lig in 2024. In international competitions, he won the Copa América in 2019 and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2017. He is famous for his technical skills, his long-distance shots, and his penalty kicks.
